Reach 4A Star Riding Academy

Located at the edge of town on the rolling prairie, the non-profit group assists mentally and physically challenged people of all ages overcome their diversities thru interaction with animals, with emphasis on equestrian riding.

Previously housing an industrial company, the pre-engineered metal structure is open bay and provides an in-door conditioned space and protection from the sometimes harsh weather. The riding arena serves the therapeutic needs of clients however; the non-profit entity lacked an office, administrative base and even indoor restrooms which siphoned valuable staff time that could otherwise be spent on client treatment. A small addition now houses the much needed fully conditioned administrative areas and includes a second floor overlook for parents and family to view the riding arena.

Renovations to the existing structure brought the entire facility into compliance with current building codes. And nearly all of the construction work – much of which included salvage and "left over" materials from other projects - and all design services were provided as donations by the design team and contractor.
